Create price-sheets, watermark, and password protect photo galleries for just $6.95/ month ( 23 cents a day) and 12%processing fee.  Photographers upload through our app, preserving the full resolution and rights.</p>

<p>This past Monday we released <a title="PhotoScramble" href="http://beta.photoscramble.com" target="_blank">PhotoScramble</a>, our new innovative fundraising photo contest software, into public beta (<a href="http://beta.photoscramble.com/">http://beta.PhotoScramble.com</a>). The software allows businesses, organizations &amp; individuals to craft their own photo contests with <a title="4 levels of service" href="http://beta.photoscramble.com/pricing/" target="_blank">4 levels of service</a> ranging from free to paid premium levels. At all levels, hosts are able to define their own contest guidelines, prizes, and generate traffic &amp; buzz around their brand or cause.</p>
<p>At the premium level, hosts have the option of charging an entry and/or voting fee which can go toward non-profit fundraising goals, 50/50 prize raffles or other organizational needs. At the top paid level, hosts have the option of selling ad space on their individual contest pages to sponsors via cpc or cpm methods. Tools to aid in spreading <a title="contests" href="http://beta.photoscramble.com/contests/" target="_blank">contests</a> include social sharing options, contest badges and a contest widget.</p>

<p>Hey Photographers &#8211; how many of you are offering your images up for sale on your website? If not you should be! One thing we have noticed over the years for many of you who do offer online proofing, is that often only 1 payment method is offered. Also, this one method often ends up being Paypal. Our experience has been that limiting yourself in this way can really reduce your online sales numbers. But why? There are a few reasons.</p>
<p><strong>1) People like options.</strong> Limiting yourself to only 1 or 2 can greatly reduce your sales &amp; increase the chance of a high shopping cart abandonment rate. Case in point: I have a small side business in specialty foods called <a title="Just Good Chocolate" href="http://www.justgoodchocolate.com" target="_blank">Just Good Chocolate</a> that was launched in September of 2011. When I look at my Google analytics I see that my choice to initially only offer Paypal was a poor one. There are many site visitors that are getting to the checkout stage but not completing the transaction &#8211; my assumption is that this is because they are limited in their payment methods. We are launching a new cart with credit card integration in late February.</p>
<p><strong>2) People don&#8217;t want to have to set up a new account.</strong> One of the issues with only offering the basic version of Paypal checkout is that you must set up a new account in order to check out. The same can be said for Google Checkout. Now don&#8217;t get me wrong &#8211; having both of these as available options is fantastic. Certainly do it if you can. People that prefer either one will thank you. In addition though, make sure that you also offer Visa &amp; MasterCard transactions through a secure payment gateway.</p>
<p><strong>3) Multiple options make you seem &#8220;bigger&#8221;.</strong> When is the last time you were on the website of a major retailer or national company and only had one payment method option at checkout? The answer is never. Bigger companies are naturally trusted more. Consumers need to know that their information is safe &amp; secure and the bigger you look, the more confident they will feel. Offering muliple payment methods and a &#8220;clean cart&#8221; is just one way to give off that &#8220;bigger&#8221; look &amp; feel.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I went to pick up my photos at Sam&#8217;s Club yesterday, and ran into a snag.  There was a copyright issue because the photos were obviously professional.  (Thanks btw) and I needed a release note with the photographer&#8217;s name contact info, etc.</p>
<p>I was able to show my website through my phone, with my phone number on it, so it all worked out.</p>
<p>If you sell digital images, do your clients a favor and give them a release note with the rights they have spelled out.  It will save them time and make you look good!</p>
<p>Thanks to Sam&#8217;s club for looking out for us! I haven&#8217;t seen this at Walgreen&#8217;s or other places in town.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>A few years I was attending a trade show in New Orleans.  Walking down Bourbon St., I came up to a unique building.  I took out my camera to take a photo and a fellow photographer stopped me, grabbed my camera, and told me to jump in front of the building. I turned around, smiled, and then before I knew what happened, I was on the ground with a cop yelling in my face.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As we gear up for Turkey Day (or Turkey-less Day for some), we get ready to take time out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend time with family; we reflect on what we&#8217;re thankful for, and more importantly, who we&#8217;re thankful for.  And even though we might be just as outwardly busy as usual with the preparation of a large meal, hopefully we slow down the thoughts of work and concentrate more on the reasons that we all work so hard.</p>
<p>A couple things this week made the crew at MorePhotos think about how lucky we all are just to be here, to be healthy, working, and able to enjoy the upcoming time with our families.  The first event was very sad, as a photographer (client of ours) passed away this past week.  His name was Perrin Todd.  Our crew in tech-support said Perrin was always a pleasure to talk to, and it was clear from his website that he took some amazing images and helped many people document precious memories through his passion for Photography.  The second was an email note from one of our accountant/office managers, Barb.  She passed on a link to a blog that the mother of her son-in-law’s niece has kept to document the health battle her daughter Kati has experienced since she was just a baby (she&#8217;s now 9).  It was truly a tear jerk-er, and if you&#8217;re a parent, just thinking of your own little one experiencing health problems and surgeries their whole life is hard to even imagine.  The families of Perrin and Katie are in our thoughts this year.</p>
<p>Even though sad events or circumstances shouldn&#8217;t be needed to make us take stock in life, to value where we&#8217;re at in this journey and who we&#8217;re on it with, to keep perspective &#8211; they sometimes are.</p>
<p>Let&#8217;s all make a point to practice gratitude this Thanksgiving.</p>
<p>Thank you for your business &amp; loyalty over all these years &#8211; we sincerely appreciate it.</p>

<li>link to a site that is full of images and takes long to load</li>
<li>use it just because you can&#8230;</li>
<li>used on a website where a regular link would be much easier</li>
